Nightclub Sound Systems
High-output, low-fatigue systems for rooms that run six nights a week.
Overview
A nightclub system has to deliver 105 dB plus at the back of the room without making the bar staff miserable, and it has to survive a resident DJ who never turns it down. We build used systems around line array tops, grouped subwoofers and a processor that protects the drivers.
What makes this room hard
- Low end that carries to the back of the room without booming at the bar
- Driver protection when DJs run the system into the limiters every night
- Noise spill into neighbouring buildings and residential floors
- Service access without closing the venue
System outline
The layers we specify for this room type, and why each one exists.
| Layer | Equipment | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Main PA | 4-6 line array modules per side | Even coverage front to back at high SPL |
| Low end | 2-4 dual 18-inch subwoofers, grouped | Coupling for 40 Hz impact with fewer cabinets |
| Processing | Loudspeaker management with limiting | Protects drivers and keeps the room tonal |
| Amplification | Tour-grade 4-channel amplifiers | Headroom and one rack for the whole system |
